Youth Organization for Fortunate Life of Afghan Community (YOFLAC) is a national, non-political, and non-profit organization established on 25 February 2010 (1388/12/06). The organization is officially registered with the Ministry of Economy of Afghanistan under registration decision number #1632 and holds UNGM registration number #836796.
YOFLAC was established to address the long-term socio-economic challenges faced by Afghan communities as a result of decades of conflict. The organization places special emphasis on women’s and youth economic empowerment, capacity building, skills development, and self-reliance, believing that sustainable development can only be achieved when individuals are economically independent and technically skilled.
YOFLAC strongly believes that sustainable development is not achievable unless women and men work together, shoulder to shoulder, with equal roles and shared responsibility in economic and social life. Therefore, gender equality and women’s active participation are mainstreamed across all programs and interventions.
The organization operates based on the principles of transparency, professionalism, accountability, and community participation, and works to improve the living conditions of vulnerable families, women, youth, and marginalized communities throughout Afghanistan.
